Good morning,My husband and I are returning from an oito-day tour in Egypt.We hesitated between 2 local agencies, and it was finally towards Terra Trips (recommended on the backpacker's blog) that we left. Amro, the director of the agency, is the ideal contact to very easily organize a tailor-made trip to Egypt. And we were not disappointed, our individual tour went perfectly. Being picked up by the agency as soon as we got off the plane allowed us to save a lot of time obtaining the visa and going through customs. We are immediately put at ease by Amro’s friendliness and desire to do well. The stay will be just perfect: From Cairo to Abu Simbel, we fell under the spell of the Nile: dozens of temples in an incredible state of conservation, the great thrill when we are alone visiting a tomb discovered a few weeks before (Indiana atmosphere Jones!), the discovery of the pyramids on the back of a camel (also the best way to take the most beautiful photos of the pyramids), the incredible beauty of the tombs of the Valley of the Kings (wow guaranteed!), The little-known but superb Valley of the queens that we were the only ones to visit, the temple of Luxor at night (magical), The “Agatha Christian” charm of the cruise on the Nile (I know, it’s not said but I couldn’t find a better term) , without forgetting the fabulous temple of Abu Simbel (wow too!

This campground accepts RVs, Trailers and Tents. These sites are tight, so book a sitio that is at least a foot longer than you need. When you reserve, be sure to check the blue “information” box that lists the parking area width x length.
The Florence Oregon Sand Dunes are broken down into three separate sections each with it’s own staging, parking and camping. Unfortunately travel between the sections isn’t possible within the OHV area – you would have to trailer your vehicle to each of the three different areas.
Special mention to our two guides Ali and Mostafa who are truly passionate about their country and who take us on most of the visits out of sync with the big cruise ships. The visit to Abu Simbel in particular was done almost alone.We were also treated to some very personalized excursions as close as possible to the daily lives of Egyptians.Note that our drivers demonstrated relatively safe driving, which contrasts with the frenetic traffic of Cairo.We will not hesitate for a single moment to contact Amro again for a second trip to Egypt.
